'Although we should never anthropomorphise animals, art is about portraying emotion and, for me, there is something about the rhino that has an air of melancholy. Maybe, it is the shocking future they face, or their slightly saddened expressions.  In this work, I wanted to play with those attributes, creating a moody portrait of an animal that, without our help, is facing a very certain threat of extinction. Fading away in history like the portrait fades away into the blackness.'

PLEASE READ: Our prints should always be put behind a mount/matt to help protect them and professionally framed wherever possible.  This is because specific framing tape is needed to place the print within the mount/matt and the mount/matt helps to keep the print flat and away from the frame glass.  We want you to enjoy your piece of art for longevity and doing this will ensure you print lasts a lifetime!  Please see HERE for help with mounting and framing.
