Chikumbi’s Story:

Chikumbi, a girl, was born April 2022 and rescued at 4 months old from the village of Chikumbi in the Rufunsa region of Southeast Zambia.

Being so small, and slow, she was left behind as her herd moved past villages in the area in a hurry, probably frightened off by poachers.

She initially needed much reassurance but has now bonded with the newly arrived orphan Mataya. She is clever, cheeky, and if there’s a spare milk bottle lying around…. She’ll be quick to grab it!

Limited to a small edition of 50 Fine Art prints, each print is supplied unmounted and unframed with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and the story of the elephant orphan.  

Produced using a high quality, slightly textured Matt/310gsm German Etching 100% cotton paper with a warm white hue to create an exquisite giclée print.
